Brett Rogers vs. Ron Humphries
In what promises to be an explosive heavyweight matchup, EliteXC veteran Brett “The Grim” Rogers will take on Ron Humphries, best known for his stint on BET’s embarassing Iron Ring series. Both men have dynamite in their hands, so I wouldn’t expect this one to last too long.
Ron Humphries has had five official professional fights, and has won all five by (T)KO. His opponents were far from impressive, though, and even a relative unknown like Rogers represents a large step up in competition for him. On the plus side, he will enter the ring with real cornermen this time, instead of Ludacris or T.I.
His opponent, Rogers, is best known for sending James Thompson’s head into orbit on an EliteXC show, and subsequently calling out Kimbo Slice at the press conference following Slice’s unimpressive win over Thompson. Also undefeated at 8-0, Rogers will be more than willing to give Humphries the slugfest he is looking for. In fact, by the time Rogers is done, Humphries will no doubt have learned the wisdom in the classic adage “be careful what you wish for”.
Rogers will grant Humphries’ wish with a quick first round knockout.
