Fedor Emelianenko vs. Brett Rogers
For a detailed prediction of this fight visit our Fedor vs. Rogers Prediction Page
Pats Prediction
- Undefeated Rogers has been on a violent rampage in his first ten fights, but Emelianenko is a huge mountain to climb. While Rogers has insane amounts of punching power, Emelianenko has outboxed some of the top strikers in the world during his storied career. The real difference comes in the ground game, where Emelianenko has always been dominant and Rogers has never been tested at all. Fedor should easily secure the takedown and put Rogers away in round 1 with his trademark vicious ground and pound.
Jake Shields vs. Jason Miller
For a detailed prediction of this fight visit our Shields vs. Miller Prediction Page
Pats Prediction
- Featuring two of the best grapplers at their weight in the world, this one promises to be extremely competitive. While Shields probably has a slight advantage in wrestling, Miller has the clear advantage in the striking game. Miller is too good on the ground to be completely controlled by Shields, and should earn the unanimous decision nod by neutralizing and escaping Shields’ ground attack and easily controlling the standup exchanges. Miller via unanimous decision.
Gegard Mousasi vs. Thierry Sokoudjou
For a detailed prediction of this fight visit our Mousasi vs. Sokoudjou Prediction Page
Pats Prediction
- Mousasi has, in many ways, stolen Sokoudjou’s spot as the most electrifying Light Heavyweight in the world. While Sokoudjou does possess frightening knockout power, his ground game leaves a lot to be desired, especially for an accomplished Judo black belt. Mousasi is just better, on the feet, on the ground, and anywhere else this might end up. Mousasi by T/KO, round 1.
Fabricio Werdum vs. Antonio “BigFoot” Silva
For a detailed prediction of this fight visit our Werdum vs. Silva Prediction Page
Pats Prediction
- Silva, a huge specimen, will look to overpower Werdum with size, reach, and power punching. Werdum, though, has a huge technical edge on the ground. While Silva’s size is going to make him hard to take down, Werdum is an accomplished black belt who should be able to get him down eventually. On the ground, it is all Werdum. Werdum by submission, round 2.
