UFC 107: BJ Penn vs. Diego Sanchez Odds

Live on Saturday, December 12, 2009 The FedEx Forum in Memphis, Tennessee will host UFC 107.  UFC Lightweight Champion BJ “The Prodigy” Penn (14-5-1) will face “The Nightmare” Diego Sanchez (23-2).  BJ has dominated the lightweight division and his last lose at this weight was in 2002 to Jens Pulver.  BJ loves to strike and if he feels he wants to take the fight to the mat he will. Diego made his lightweight debut at UFC 95 against Joe Stevenson winning via unanimous then against Clay Guida at TUF 9 Finale taking a split decision.  He has looked very strong at this new weight and good enough for Dana White to give him a shot a the title.  Diego is a cardio freak and sets the pace coming right at his opponents.  We will see if he uses this strategy with BJ or will he come out more cautious.                    UFC 107 Predictions

Also on the card we have former two-time UFC Heavyweight champ Frank Mir (12-4) squaring off with the big Frenchman Cheick Kongo (24-5-1).  Both men are coming off loses and need a win here to get back to title contention.  Mir was dominated by Brock Lesnar and Congo took a three round ground & pound beating from Velasquez.  We are also treated to another great fight in Kenny Florian (13-4) against Clay Guida (25-7).  We all know Guida can be boring, but I see Florian’s jiu jitsu forcing Guida to stand and trade shots.  Again here both fighters are coming off loses and will need to leave it all in the Octagon to pull off the victory.
