UFC Fight Night 19: Nate Diaz vs. Melvin Guillard Odds

Live on Wednesday, September 16, 2009 at the Cox Convention Center in Oklahoma City, OK.  Nate Diaz (10-4) will do work against Melvin “The Young Assassin” Guillard (22-7-2).  Diaz has lost his last two bouts, one to Joe Stevenson and to Clay Guida, both fights took home Fight of the Night honors.  Diaz definitely needs a win and will look to impose his will against Guillard.  Melvin on the other hand is riding a three fight win streak with his last victory coming over the tough Gleison Tibau via split decision.  Melvin is very experienced for a young fighter and carries very heavy hands. This should be a solid main event.

Also on the card is the return of Roger “El Matador” Huerta (22-2-1) to fulfill his last fight on his contract.  Dana White had big plans for Huerta, but he decided to go test the waters in acting and modeling.  With that being said Dana put undefeated Gray “The Bully” Maynard (8-0-1) in front of him.  This is no doubt an extremely tough opponent for Huerta.  I’m also not sure what kind of training Roger has been involved in. I guess well find out here soon.  Following Fight Night 19 will be the premiere of TUF 10 “Heavyweights”.
