Matt Brown is a fighter that really gets the upper hand when the fight gets gritty considering he is really powerful with all four limbs and has an extraordinarily strong chin which can take a lashing. Another impressive factor about Brown is his cardio vascular endurance which essentially means he is able to fight with the same energy levels and movement in the last few minutes of the fight as he is able to do in the first few minutes of the fight.
Brown, however, is not the best defensively as he compromises defending himself. His best form of defense is simply is attack and often leaves himself exposed to blows. Another con with Brown is the fact that he is not very good when the fight goes to the ground. Often times, Brown has been let down by his grappling. Ten of Brown’s losses have been courtesy of tapping out to a submission.
Thankfully for Brown, Ellenberger who is an experienced boxer is not exactly a grappler either. He likes to fight standing up where he can dish out his powerful and quick head shots.
He is known as the juggernaut and has really grown by leaps and bounds in the stand – up fighting game. Even though Ellenerberger, on paper Ellenberger has everything needed to become champion, but in real life, he has simply never been able to concoct everything together and materialize into a champion – at least not yet.
Ellenberger has a lot to prove and he will be looking to grab this opportunity with both arms.
Again, this is not an easy fight to predict. Technically speaking, Ellenberger looks the better fighter on paper, but is his mind where it needs to be? Is his confidence lacking? Can he turn around his woeful recent form? We will just have to wait and watch.
