Mike Swick vs. Dan Hardy
- For a detailed prediction of this fight visit our Swick vs. Hardy prediction page.
Pats Prediction
- The winner here will get a shot at the mighty Georges St-Pierre. Hardy throughout the last few months has been playing mind games with Swick. Swick has brushed these off and will pay no attention to them. He will however fight back in the Octagon. Hardy will definitely have home field advantage as the crowd will be on his side. Swick will look to trade shots early and if he feels Hardy is winning he will use his wrestling for the takedown. Hardy’s best chance is to keep this fight standing, keeping busy with his hands and kicks. I see Swick being able to take and keep Hardy on the mat. Quick Swick via unanimous decision victory.
Michael Bisping vs. Denis Kang
- For a detailed prediction of this fight visit our Bisping vs. Kang prediction page.
Pats Prediction
- Here we have the face of the UK Michael Bisping taking on Pride veteran Denis Kang. Kang a well-rounded and experienced fighter will bring a variety of attacks at Bisping. Kang is a hard hitting striker and a skilled grappler. Out of his 32 wins 12 come by T/KO and 15 by submission, leaving on 5 to decision. Bisping is the more patient fighter along with good stand up and much better wrestling than Kang. I see Bisping holding his own in the striking department stuffing Kang’s takedowns. Then in the third round pounding Kang out via referee stoppage.
James Wilks vs. Matt Brown
- For a detailed prediction of this fight visit our Wilks vs. Brown prediction page.
Pats Prediction
- This fight will come down to experience. Brown’s record at (10-7) is not very impressive, but his (3-1) record in the UFC shows that he can hold his own. Brown is not superior in any one discipline, but is well-rounded and never gets overwhelmed wherever the fight may go. Wilks showed he has good hand work and submissions on the TUF 9 Finale finishing off American favorite DaMarques Johnson via rear naked choke. I do like Wilks future in the UFC, but see Brown’s experience leading him through this fight. Brown via second round T/KO.
Aaron Riley vs. Ross Pearson
- For a detailed prediction of this fight visit our Riley vs. Pearson prediction page.
Pats Prediction
- The opening fight of the night is between TUF 9 winner Ross Pearson against MMA vet Aaron Riley. This is a match up of two very similar fighters. Both do their best work on the mat and both have decent stand up. I don’t see either fighter submitting the other. This fight will be determined by whoever gets more takedowns and keeps control. I believe Riley will do enough damage and keep top control long enough throughout the rounds. Riley via unanimous decision.
