Pats Prediction

The Co-Main event features two heavy handed sluggers. Expect to see fireworks and one fighter laying on the mat. I don’t see this fight going but one round. In order for Jardine to win this fight he must utilize his wrestling skills he rarely uses. Silva has a decent ground game but will look to keep this fight standing to his advantage. Jardine loves to stand and bang and I give Silva the advantage. Jardine will need to keep Silva guessing and attempt takedowns as well as striking. But I see Jardine charging forward trading shots and getting laid out via first round KO for Silva.

Chris Leben vs. Jake Rosholt

Here we have the never say die, lay it all on the line, iron chin Chris “The Crippler” Leben taking on Jake Rosholt. Rosholt is an excellent wrestler with a good training camp in Extreme Couture. Leben a very well rounded striker with heavy hands outweighs Rosholt in Experience and quality of opponents. I believe Rosholt has a good future, but Leben will overwhelm him with on the feet an earn a second round KO victory.

Nate Marquardt vs. Demian Maia

Pats Prediction

This is the fight Im most excited to see on the card between Nate “The Great” Marquardt vs. Demian Maia. We all know how dangerous Maia is on the ground as he has finished every opponent the UFC has put in front of him via submission. Marquardt will do everything in his power to keep this fight standing where he can win this fight. Nate is extremely well rounded and his wrestling will neutralize Maia’s jiu jitsu, stuffing takedowns and forcing Maia to fight his game. In return Maia must take this fight to the ground, but I see his efforts falling short to Marquardt. I see Marquardt fighting smart keeping the fight up and eventually taking Maia out via second round TKO.

Brandon Vera vs. Krzysztof Soszynski

Pats Prediction

The PPV night starts off with Brandon “The Truth” Vera taking on replacement for Matt Hamill, Krzysztof “The Polish Experiment” Soszynski. This will be a very competitive match up as I see Vera wanting to keep the fight up and Soszynski trading shots then looking for his wrestling to take over. Overall I give Vera the advantage, but i think Soszynski will earn more points with takedowns and top control squeaking out a unanimous decision victory.
