Live on Saturday, August 8, 2009 at the Wachovia Center in Philadelphia PA. Two of the worlds best 155 pound fighters will go to war. Lightweight Champion BJ Penn (13-5-1) will look get back to his winning ways against #1 contender Kenny “Ken Flo” Florian (13-3). BJ is coming off a devastating loss to Georges St-Pierre back in January and Kenny coming from a first round rear naked choke victory against Joe Stevenson. Florian is currently on a six fight win streak. This will be Penn’s second title defense. After Florian defeated Joe Daddy at UFC 91 while being interviewed by Joe Rogan, he called out BJ stating he wants the belt and “Its time to kill the master” With that being said we can expect the best of both fighters and an excellent Main Event.

The Co-Main event of the night will be “The Spider” Anderson Silva (24-4) against former LHW champ Forrest Griffin (16-5). Silva will test the 205 lb waters once again after his first try lasted under one minute as he destroyed James Irvin. In Griffin’s last fight he lost the title to Rashad Evans via third round TKO. We can expect Griffin will be ready for this fight and doesn’t want to be another Irvin for The Spider. The Spider is coming to his territory trying to send a message and cement his P4P status. Forrest will try to hand Silva his first loss since 2006 and first in the UFC. Also on the card is TUF 7 winner Amir Sadalloh (2-0) for the first time since the Finale against Johny Hendricks (5-0)
