Predictions for UFC 95

For the Main Event we have our Diego Sanchez vs. Joe Stevenson prediction page

Demian Maia vs. Chael Sonnen

Pats Prediction

  • Sonnen will give Maia a great test and may be his toughest fight to date.  I don’t think Sonnen gets the respect he deserves.  I believe Sonnen will do well in the UFC, but Maia is just too damn good on the ground.  Sonnen will take down and ground & pound Maia in the first round and will eventually get submitted in the second round.

 – Maia vs. Sonnen Odds

Dan Hardy vs. Rory Markham

Pats Prediction

  • This will be a very exciting match up as England’s Dan Hardy takes on IFL vet Rory Markham.  Hardy will have the crowd on his side through out the fight, but that wont be enough as Rory will steal the show with a first round KO.

 – Hardy vs. Markham Odds

Nate Marquardt vs. Wilson Gouveia

Pats Prediction

  • After reading a few articles about Gouveia he is extremely confident coming into this fight with Marquardt. He seems almost Cocky which could be good or bad.  Gouveia is very dangerous with excellent submissions and solid striking.  Marquardt with out a doubt is one of the top UFC Middleweight fighters.  He is well rounded with tons of experience against top level fighters. This fight will go back and forth with Marquardt earning more points and taking a unanimous decision victory.

Josh Koscheck vs. Paulo Thiago

Pats Prediction

  • Doing some research on Thiago, I have found that he is a solid fighter with a lot of potential in the UFC. I think Koscheck is not the first fighter he wants to go against, but the UFC is giving him a chance and he will look to take advantage.  Koscheck is coming off a busy 2008 and and a devastating KO victory over Yoshiyuki Yoshida.  Koscheck will prove to be too much for Thiago to handle and welcome him to the UFC with a second round TKO.
