Last week Sportsbook.com announced they will open their doors to Canada. Previously Sportsbook.com blocked a lot of countries but they decided to let in Canada and other countries. Here is a brief review of www.sportsbook.com if you’re thinking of opening an account there. Their MMA lines are pretty good.
According to the guy I spoke to on the phone they will have the same deposit options as US players. Canada sportsbook deposit options include Visa, Mastercard and Western Union. There is also something called Quicktender/Usemywallet that is available but you have to signup and get things verified before you can deposit that way. The other option is using a bank wire at $5k max.
Withdrawing is pretty goofy at Sportsbook and some have reported very slow withdraw times but in general we’ve had good feedback about the site for poker, casino, and sportsbook betting. It’s not bad for MMA as well. For the first 6 months you’re a customer at Sportsbook.com you can only really withdraw via a check. After six months they offer you a debit card that you can use at ATM’s.
Either way it’s nice to see they opened up to Canadian sportsbook betters.
