The 26 year old Dawson is a fast rising prospect and is here to prove he belongs with the best LHW in the world. Dawson is coming off a unanimous decision victory over Glen Johnson back in April where he took some significant damage. Dawson possesses great hand speed , power, and coordination.
Tarver is coming off some less than stellar performances, but has vowed to train harder and get back to his old ways. He needs to use his jab, create angles and stay busy against the younger Dawson. Tarver is coming off a relatively easy unanimous decision win over Clinton Woods where he took the IBF LHW title.
