On Tuesday September 23, in Saitama, Japan Dream 6 will be televised live in the U.S onHDNet.
Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipovic (23-6) will be taking on Alistair Overeem (28-11). The two have been exchanging words back and forth leading up to this fight. Overeem believes Cro Cop has been ducking him and will now get his chance to show why. Overeem has said Mirko is “old” and a “chicken”. Overeem is on a three fight win streak and is the current Strikeforce heavyweight champion. Cro Cop hasn’t fought since March but has been training hard and is ready to shut Overeem up. Cro Cop got a reality check when he moved to the UFC and did not live up to his hype going 1-2, before leaving the UFC.
Also on the card is Pride veteran Sergei Kharitonov (15-3) facing K-1 veteran “Mighty Mo” Siala Siliga (3-0).
