Season 8 of Spike TV’s ” The Ultimate Fighter” will begin Wednesday, September 17. Along with 16 new light heavyweights (205 lbs) and 16 lightweights (155 lbs). Coaching the new squads will be former UFC heavyweight champ Frank Mir and current interim UFC heavyweight champ Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira. Who will eventually meet in the Octagon sometime (TBD) after the show is completed.
Just like the last installment of “TUF 7” these 32 fighters will have to earn their spot on the show by winning a fight in their weight class. Which will decide the 16 fighters who get on the show and possible change their lives. The two finalists in each weight class will go to battle live on Saturday, December 13, with the winner receiving a contract to fight in the UFC. Below are the new classmates hoping to show the world the are worthy opponents to fight in the UFC.
